Ingredients
- - 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
- - 1 1/2 cups milk
- - 1/4 cup honey
- - 1 egg
- - 1/4 cup melted butter
- - 1 tsp vanilla extract
- - 1 tsp baking powder
- - 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- - Pinch of salt
- - Optional mix-ins: nuts, dried fruits, chocolate chips
Directions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats and milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to allow the oats to soften.
- 3. Add the honey, egg, melted butter, vanilla extract, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt to the oat mixture. Stir until well combined.
- 4. Fold in any optional mix-ins you desire.
- 5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- 6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- 7. Allow the oatmeal loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- 8. Slice and serve the oatmeal loaf warm or at room temperature. Enjoy!
