Kadai Paneer

Ingredients

  • - 1 block of paneer, cubed
  • - 2 onions, finely chopped
  • - 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • - 1 bell pepper, cut into cubes
  • - 1 tsp ginger paste
  • - 1 tsp garlic paste
  • - 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • - 1 tsp coriander powder
  • - 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • - 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • - 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • - Salt to taste
  • - Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • - Cooking oil

Directions

  1. 1. Heat oil in a kadai or wok over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. 2. Add chopped onions, ginger paste, and garlic paste. Saute until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. 3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and mushy.
  4. 4. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  5. 5. Add the bell pepper cubes and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6. Gently add the paneer cubes to the kadai and mix well without breaking them.
  7. 7. Sprinkle garam masala and mix everything together gently.
  8. 8. Cover the kadai and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
  9. 9. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  10. 10. Serve hot with roti or rice. Enjoy your Kadai Paneer!
